“A place for everything and everything in its place.”

Helena McBride founded The Space Maker, Professional Organisers, in 2018. A member of the Association of Professional Declutterers & Organisers (APDO), she serves a dedicated and growing UK client base and has undertaken unique commissions in both Europe and Australasia.

Based in Oxfordshire, Helena holds Continuing Professional Development (CPD) qualifications in virtual decluttering and how to meet the unique needs of people with ADHD.

Helena’s mission is to help people curate their belongings and organise them logically. She empowers her clients to live harmoniously with their treasures – making mindful choices about what to let go without adopting a minimalist lifestyle.

Naturally empathetic, her expertise lies in recognising any potential triggers that surface when organising, and supporting people throughout what is often an emotional process.

Who is Helena Really?

An adventurer at heart, Helena makes space in her social life for thrill-seeking experiences. These include wing walking, skydiving and climbing up tall buildings.

Her next challenge is to brave the world’s fastest zip line. So yes, you could class her as a bit of an adrenaline junky!

When she’s not jumping out of planes or climbing up tall buildings, Helena has taken a very active part in her local community, organising local festivals and taking on the role of chair of governors.

However, her favourite thing is spending time with her husband and 2 boys, or socialising with close friends.
Life is most definitely for living.

She asked good questions and listened to how I needed to use things and any quirky likes or dislikes I had without judgement.
